Rosemead Guest House

A warm welcome to Horley, Surrey. Horley is a civil parish in the Reigate and Banstead administrative area, in the English county of Surrey.

Surrey is a shire county (non-metropolitan county OR county) in the English region of South East England and has 1.2 million inhabitants (2017). The area is 1670 km2.

The capital is Guildford. The Surrey County Council still resides in the former capital of Kingston upon Thames (which now belongs to Greater London, so there are plans to relocate the administrative center to Woking).

Surrey consists of fertile hills with chalk hills in the north (the North Downs with Box Hill as the highest point, 182 m) and in the south sandstone hills (Leith Hill highest point, 320 m).

Agriculture, horticulture and animal husbandry are mainly focused on sales in London. Surrey is an important landing area for London and many commuter places have emerged. It also has a function as a recreational area for London and serves as a green belt for the agglomeration.
